Mission

How do you create a 12,000 square foot restaurant, music venue, and art space that feels authentic to Detroit? The partners behind Otus Supply had an ambitious vision but no clear identity—just the idea of bringing people together around food, culture, and music.

Our challenge was to uncover the deeper “why” and translate it into a brand platform that could guide everything: the name, the space, the experience, and even the culture itself.

Outcome

Through discovery sessions, research, and concept exploration, we defined the soul of the brand as communal craftsmanship—a place where people could gather, connect, and feel part of Detroit’s ongoing story.

We created the name Otus Supply, inspired by the local owl, a symbol of wisdom and gathering. The venue’s music space became The Parliament Room, a nod to the collective name for owls. From logo to interiors, from menus to murals, everything reflected the brand principles of inclusive, craftsmanly, and gracious.

More than a restaurant, Otus Supply became a place to gather, proving that authenticity and storytelling can turn a vision into lasting culture.
